1 Dead, 3 Injured at North Philly Block Party Shooting

33-year-old man pronounced dead after being shot in the head

One man is dead and three others have been hospitalized after a shooting at a block party in North Philadelphia.

Police say that the shooting took place at around 1:30 Sunday morning in the 3200 block of North Spangler Street. They were called to the scene after receiving a report of a shootout among a group of people.

Investigators say that a 33-year-old man was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound to the head. A 28-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were taken to Temple University Hospital in stable and critical condition, respectively. In addition, a 35-year-old man was taken to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.

Police say the suspect may have left in a black Jeep.

The reason for the shootings is not yet known and none of the identities of the victims have been released.
