4 Philly Men Accused of Conspiring to Traffic Girl, 15, For Sex

Federal prosecutors say three Philadelphia men and a New York resident conspired to engage in the sex trafficking of a 15-year-old Tennessee girl.

The charges against Philadelphia residents Karl Venord, Samuel Verrier and Varian Charles, and Haverstraw, N.Y. resident Wilbur Senat were made public Wednesday. They are accused of forcing the teen to have relations with multiple people and using her in an unsuccessful attempt to blackmail another man.

All four could face life in prison if convicted on the charges. It was not known if any of the four men had retained an attorney.

Venord and Verrier were due to appear in U.S. District Court in Newark on Wednesday afternoon.
