4 Hurt in 3-Car Crash on George Washington Bridge

Four people were taken to hospitals after three cars collided on the lower level of the George Washington Bridge in northern New Jersey.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police spokesman Joe Pentangelo said it's not yet known what caused the crash, which occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday in the three eastbound lanes in Fort Lee.

Two men were taken to a hospital in Teaneck, while two women were taken to a Manhattan hospital. Authorities said the injuries were not considered life-threatening, but further details on the patients' conditions were not disclosed.

The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.

Two of the three lanes were briefly closed after the crash, so workers could clear the scene.
