Authorities Suspect Arson in Car Fires

No injuries reported from suspicious blazes

Authorities are investigating four car fires that were set at four different locations in Juniata and Kensington early Saturday morning as possible arson cases.

Investigators say that the fires were set at around 3:15 a.m. in the following locations.

  • The 1000 block of Estaugh Street in Kensington
  • The intersection of Kensington Avenue and Ontario Street in Kensington
  • The intersection of Hunting Park Avenue and Markland Street in Juniata.

Police say a surveillance camera from a corner store in the neighborhood captured part of the incident.

Additionally, authorities say that a fourth fire was set at the intersection of Castor Avenue and Bristol Street shortly after 4 a.m.

There are no reports of any injuries.
