3 Wounded in NJ Street Shooting: Police

Three men were wounded when shots rang out on a northern New Jersey street, not far from where a man had been gunned down the day before.

But authorities say it doesn't appear that the shootings are related.

Saturday's shootings occurred around 12:45 a.m. at Park Avenue and East 18th Street in Paterson. Authorities tell The Record that a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt approached the victims and started shooting, then fled on foot.

Officers responding to reports of shots fired found no victims, but soon learned the men had been driven to a hospital. All three victims were in stable condition Saturday afternoon.

On Friday, 33-year-old city resident Tashan Hall was killed at Carroll Street and 16th Avenue in a shooting that also left a woman wounded.
