Three women were walking to work in Atlantic City when police say they were approached from behind by two armed men.

It happened early Friday on the 800 block of North Maryland Avenue.

One of the women told police that she gave up her purse when the man pointed a gun at her.

Police say the second gunman attempted to rob the other two women, but they held onto their purses and the men ran away.

The women are from Turkey and are only living in Atlantic City to work for the summer. They say they live nearby and walk the same path to work every day.

Police want anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 609-652-1234.
