3 Stabbed in Robbery, Suspect Arrested

Three people were stabbed during a Jersey City robbery that ended with the alleged assailant's capture.

Twenty-seven-year-old Brian Fernandez of Jersey City faces three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and several weapons offenses. His bail has not been set and it's not known if he has retained an attorney.

Authorities tell The Jersey Journal that Fernandez was captured by police just moments after he tried to run away from the crime scene.

Officers found the victims around 3:20 a.m. Saturday when they responded to a reported stabbing.

One victim was stabbed in the right shoulder, while another was stabbed in her left breast. The third victim was stabbed in the back and has a collapsed lung.

A fourth victim was not injured in the incident.
