3 Hurt After 2 Cars Collide

Three people were hospitalized Monday after a driver ran a stop sign.

Police say a 27-year-old man ran a stop sign causing two cars to collide on 24th and Tasker in South Philadelphia Monday night.  He was trapped inside his vehicle until rescue crews arrived.

Another person was ejected from a vehicle. In all, three people were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with serious injuries.

Hospital officials say the three are in stable condition Tuesday morning.

Officials say police discovered a gun on the driver responsible for the crash.
