3 Firefighters Injured in Trenton Home Fire

The firefighters were hospitalized with minor injuries

Three firefighters were injured in a 2-alarm fire at a home in Trenton.

The fire broke out inside a three-story vacant home on the 300 block of Church Street around 11 p.m. and spread to a second home.

Investigators say the firefighters were injured after debris fell from the second floor ceiling. The firefighters were hospitalized with minor injuries.

“According to a neighbor there were people in and out of there possibly cooking inside the building, but that has not been confirmed as of yet,” Trenton Fire Chief Frank Fanning told NBC10.com.

The people who were inside the home left the scene before help arrived, according to Fanning.
