4 Arrested for Pizza Deliveryman Murder

Michael Covington, Rashad Cheeseboro, Keyono Jones, Xylaca Devlin charged with killing Chester father

On Monday, Philadelphia Police announced the arrests of two men and two women for the murder of a pizza deliveryman earlier this month.

Back on Jan. 4, investigators say Ronald Anderson, Jr., 29, was delivering pizza on the 2500 block of Massey Street in Philadelphia around 10 p.m. when  he was killed.

As Anderson left his car, police say he was approached by gunmen who told him he was being robbed. They then allegedly shot Anderson in the back before fleeing the scene.

Anderson ran back to his car and collapsed, according to investigators. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Jan. 6, police arrested Xylaca Devlin, 18, of South 74th Street. On Jan. 7, police arrested Rashad Cheeseboro, 23, of Lloyd Street. On Jan. 19, police arrested Michael Covington, 21, of Massey Street. And finally, on Jan. 20, police arrested Keyona Jones, 18, of Magnolia, N.J.

All four suspects are charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, robbery and other related offenses.

Anderson, a Chester resident, left behind a wife, a daughter and three stepchildren.
