Wilmington police say a 22-year-old man was shot near the intersection of West 24th and North Market Streets.
The shooting occurred late Friday night. Police say they responded to calls about shots fired but couldn't find a victim. Officers were then informed that the young man was being treated at Wilmington Hospital for a wound to the chest.
Police say the man's condition is stable. The shooting is under investigation. Police haven't identified any suspects.
