New Castle County police are charging a 22-year-old man with a series of burglaries and thefts in recent months around Newark.
Police say Brian Ward of Newark was arrested Friday night. Earlier in the day Friday, Ward became a suspect after a burglary at a home that was under construction. He was also a suspect in other thefts from cars in the Academy Hill area and a burglary in the Tall Pines community.
Newark police arrested Ward Friday night. Police say he was found in possession of stolen property.
County police have charged Ward with nine counts of third-degree burglary, six counts of theft, two counts of felony theft and receiving stolen property.
