Authorities say mother accidentally struck and killed her 2-year-old daughter over the weekend.
Vineland police did not immediately release the name of the girl or provide many details on the accident, which happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
But family members told The Press of Atlantic City that the toddler's name was Jaelise Rodriguez and said the accident occurred in the driveway at the home of the child's paternal grandparents.
The family members said the girl's mother had gone there to pick her up along with the toddler's two older brothers, and they believe she didn't see the child in the driveway.
"I love you so much and I miss you and I just want you to come back," said the child's emotional mother during a family prayer service Sunday.
No charges were filed, though authorities said the investigation remains opened.
