A New Jersey family is in mourning after a tragic accident Christmas Eve.
A 2-year-old girl was struck and killed after a neighbor backed out of a driveway in Lakewood, New Jersey, police said.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m. Wednesday at a home on Forest Park Circle. The girl was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
Police and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are currently investigating the accident.
