2 Wounded in New Jersey Restaurant Shooting

Two men were shot and critically wounded when gunfire erupted outside a central New Jersey restaurant.

But it's not yet known what sparked the shooting, which occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday at the Metropolitan Cafe in Freehold.

Monmouth County prosecutors tell the Asbury Park Press that the two victims were hospitalized in critical but stable condition. But both men are expected to recover from their wounds.

The two men were only identified as Howell Township residents, ages 35 and 38.

Further details on the shooting were not disclosed, including what type of weapon was used and how many shooters may have been involved.
