2 Women Wanted in Upper Darby Burglaries

Upper Darby police are looking for two women they say are responsible for the burglaries of at least 12 Upper Darby home.

At least five homes in the Cardington section of Upper Darby were struck Tuesday afternoon, reports the Delaware County Daily Times.

The burglaries took between 2 and 5 p.m.

However, Tuesdayโ€™s robberies are only the tip of the iceberg. Authorities believe the women are also responsible for at least seven other robberies in the last month.

โ€œThese same two women were seen by a witness in the area in August after other burglaries were reported,โ€ Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood tells the Daily Times.

They say that the women, one white and one black, walk along streets knocking on doors. The homes where no one answers the door, are the ones they burglarize.

So far, only cash and jewelry have been reported missing from the homes.

Police have a description on the white woman. They say sheโ€™s thin with red hair and arm tattoos, according to the Times.
