A man is dead and his brother is fighting for his life after a shooting in the Hunting Park section of the city.

Police say an unidentified man armed with a shotgun shot two men on the 3900 block of North Percy Street around 6:40 p.m. A 23-year-old man and his 20-year-old brother were both struck in the torso.

Police say the brothers drove themselves to Temple University Hospital. The 20-year-old was pronounced dead at 6:49 p.m. The 23-year-old is in critical condition.

Police responded to a home on the 900 block of West Pike believing the gunman was inside. After a standoff, police searched the home but did not find him. They say they recovered two shotguns from the house however. The suspect is still on the loose.
