2 Officers Injured in Police Car Crash

It happened around 5 am. on Cottman Avenue and Cottage Street.

Two police officers are in the hospital after an accident in the Lower Mayfair section of the city.

It happened around 5 a.m. on Cottman Avenue and Cottage Street. Investigators say a police van collided with a civilian vehicle. A 39-year-old officer suffered a head injury and a possible concussion. A 43-year-old officer suffered neck and back injuries.

Both officers were taken to the hospital where they are in stable condition. The civilian was not injured in the crash. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. No arrests have been made.
