2 Men Wounded, 1 Injured in Newark Shooting

Two men were shot and another was injured when shots rang out on a Newark street.

Authorities tell The Star-Ledger that the shooting in the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. Friday. But a motive has not yet been determined.
 
Officers responding to the scene found the two shooting victims and another man who was injured while trying to flee the area on foot. All three were being treated at a hospital, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The names of the victims were not disclosed. No arrests have been made.
 
Further information on the shooting, including what type of weapon was used and how many shooters may have been involved, were not disclosed.
