Teens shot & killed while riding stolen ATV, cops say

Two teenage boys are dead after a double shooting in North Philadelphia. It happened Monday shortly before 8 p.m. on the 2900 block of N 9th Street.

Police say that Dexter Bowie, 17, and Johnathan Stokely, 18, were shot multiple times and rushed to the hospital were they later died.

Police say the teens were riding ATVs at the time of the shooting. The ATV was earlier stolen, according to authorities.

They also believe the suspect killed the teens with an AK-47. Investigators say 27 shell casings were found at the scene and that some houses were struck.

The city is currently offering a $40,000 reward for information leading to any arrests.
