Pregnant Mom, Child Hit by Car, Rushed to Hospital

Wilmington police say that driver received a summons for inattentive driving.

A preganant mother and her 10-month-old child are recovering after being struck by an SUV early Friday morning in Wilmington, Delaware.

Police say that the victims were walking in the street near the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Rodman Street around 8 a.m. when they were struck by an SUV.

According to authorities, mom and baby were transported to Christiana Hospital where they are being treated. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Another child, a two-year-old, was with the two victims, but was not hit.

The driver of the SUV, Tracey Davisson, 35, of Wilmington stopped after the accident. She was cited for inattentive driving.
