Two prisoners ran from a Berks County prison Wednesday evening after pulling a fire alarm.
Thirty-three-years-old Justin Thomas Andrews, of Allentown, and 29-year-old Shawn Anthony Lawless, of Wernersville, escaped from the Wernersville Community Corrections Center at 165 Main St., South Heidelberg Township around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.
The two men ran from Building 30 in an unknown direction, officials said.
Lawless was incarcerated in the facility after pleading guilty to theft, drug possession and other charges, court records show.
It is unclear what Andrews' was charged with before his escape.
