2 Injured in South Philly Fire

A child and an adult are in the hospital after a fire in South Philadelphia.

It happened Thursday night shortly before 11 p.m. at a house on the 700 block of Wharton Street.
Both the child and the adult were taken to Jefferson Hospital where they remain in stable condition.

The Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania is currently helping two displaced families with food and clothing.

The Red Cross also says two other families were displaced. They are currently trying to reach them to provide assistance.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
