2 Dead in Overnight Shootings

Investigations into the cause of both shootings are underway.

Two men are dead after two separate shootings in Philadelphia overnight.

Police say a 32-year-old male died at Temple University Hospital after he was shot in the stomach just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of at Tioga and Schiller Street in North Philadelphia.  

Philadelphia police are also investigating a fatal shooting that took place just after 2 a.m. near the intersection of 21st and Mifflin Streets, in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia.

At least 40 shell casings were recovered at the scene. Police say the victim was shot in the head and chest.

Both of the victims have yet to be identified, but investigations into both incidents are underway. No arrests have been made in either case.
