Two Trenton firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a house fire Wednesday night.

The fire started around 9:30 inside a home on West State Street.

Firefighters were able to get a handle on it quickly, but remained on the scene, putting out hot spots.

The two injured firefighters were treated on the scene and did not need to be hospitalized.

Fire officials say they found out that the person originally thought to be missing was actually not home at the time of the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
