2-Alarm Apt. Fire in NE Philly

Firefighters worked to put out the flames at a four-story apartment building Tuesday night.

A two-alarm fire broke out around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night on the 1800 block of Rhawn Street in Northeast Philadelphia.

Chopper10 flew over the scene of the four-story building as firefighters worked to put out the flames. Fire officials say the fire started on the second floor of the building.

The Red Cross evacuated 30 residents from the building and took them to Rhawnhurst Elementary School on Castor Avenue.

There were no injuries.
