A 19-year-old man is in the hospital after a shooting near the Temple University campus.
Police say the man was on Warnock and Norris Streets around 11 p.m. Saturday night when an unidentified gunman opened fire.
The man was struck once in the back. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
The scene of the shooting is close to the Temple University campus. Temple officials sent an alert to students warning them to stay away from the area while also stating that no one from the school was believed to be involved.
