16 Arrested in A.C. Prostitution Sweep

Fifteen women and 1 man busted for alleged prostitution over the weekend

Sixteen arrests were made over the weekend during a prostitution sweep in Atlantic City.

The investigation targeted street level prostitutes, according to Atlantic City Police, who worked alongside the FBI Innocence Lost Task Force and members of Immigration Customs Enforcement.

Fifteen women and one man were arrested at different spots along Pacific Avenue, between Friday night and early Saturday morning.

All sixteen were charged with engaging in prostitution and three of the arrested females were also charged with contempt of court.

Atlantic City Police released a full list of the people arrested in the bust.

Asha Vaughn, 23, of Yardley, Pa.   

Takara Vaden, 23, of Washington D.C.  

Brianna Stoudemire, 20, of Apple Valley, Calif.

Lydia Sanchez, 35, of  Philadelphia Pa.* also charged with contempt

Kamil Brown,18, of Elizabeth, N.J.* also charged with contempt

Beverly Patterson, 53, of Lawnside, N.J.   

Lauren Catrambone, 23, of Atlantic City, N.J.* also charged with contempt

Melody Champagne, 29, of Barstow, Calif.  

Christina Nikitich, 22, of South Amboy, N.J.   

Hattia Thomas, 22, of Newark, N.J.   

Juanita Veney, 34, of Pleasantville, N.J.   

Shamika Reese, 24, of Atlantic City, N.J.   

Patricia Sabb, 44, of Absecon, N.J.   

Chenay Brown, 21,of Antioch City, Calif.  

Lauren Roessner, 21, of East Stroudsburg, Pa.   

Megan Cassidy, 25, of Atlantic City, N.J.
