Murder Charges for 14-Year-Old Joyrider: Cops

Police say the boy was speeding, headlights off, when he hit two cars.

Police arrested a 14-year-old Philadelphia boy on murder charges Thursday after an early-morning crash in which he collided with another car, killing a man.

Winston Charleston, of the 7100 block of State Road, was driving his motherโ€™s Chrysler with the headlights off as he exited I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia. He was speeding north on Academy Road when he hit two cars, one a red Volkswagen, killing 22-year-old Dan Fouracre of Bensalem.

Jessica Feldman, Fouracreโ€™s girlfriend of three years, was driving the Volkswagen. Feldman went into surgery for an injured arm, according the victim's dad, Bruce Fouracre.

The passengers of the other car hit are expected to be OK.

Charleston and the two friends he had in his car were brought to the hospital with minor injuries.

Bruce Fouracre says that he's not ready to be angry at the suspect.

"It's a no-win situation," Fouracre told NBC Philadelphia's Tim Furlong.

Charleston is charged with murder, aggravated assault, involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle, among other charges.
