2 Injured in Double Shooting

Two men are in the hospital after a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened shortly before midnight on 60th Street and Woodland Avenue.

Police say the two victims were leaving a deli store when they were approached by a suspect who pointed his gun in the back of one of the victims.

Police then say the second victim tried to pull the gun away from him, prompting the gunman to fire.

The man who attempted to stop the gunman was shot in the hand. He was taken to the hospital where he remains in stable condition.

The other man was shot in the head. He was also taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.
