1 Dead in South Philly Nightclub Shooting

Police say a 23-year-old man died in an early morning shooting outside Club Onyx

Police say a 23-year-old man died in an early morning shooting outside a South Philadelphia nightclub.

Investigators say gunfire erupted around 4 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Club Onyx Gentleman's Club located at 2908 Christopher Columbus Boulevard. A source tells NBC10 that Tyrique Cubbage was taken to Temple University Hospital with gunshot wounds to his jaw and back. Police said the victim was pronounced dead just after 5 a.m.

Authorities said no arrests were immediately made and the investigation continues.

This isn't the first time this club has been the subject of violence.

Last February, a 26-year-old man was shot in the chest on the front porch of the club, according to police. In 2010, police say two armed men went into the club, tied up two employees, and stole $35,000 in cash.
