2 Dead in Shooting in Small Pa. Town

A neighborhood dispute left two men dead in a small Poconos area town.

A 54-year-old suspect was taken into custody after the triple shooting in Saylorsburg, Pa. Wednesday night.

Police say a gunman opened fire near a home on Meixell Valley Road, striking three people.

Pennsylvania State Police in Monroe County said 54-year-old Jeffrey Place and 30-year-old Steven Powell were struck in the Eldred Township home.

The Monroe County coroner's office said Place was pronounced dead at the scene while Powell later died at Pocono Medical Center.

Police said a 54-year-old man who called 911 was arrested without incident. NBC affiliate WBRE identified the alleged shooter as Gary Flyte.

Officials say the shooting stemmed from a dispute between neighbors.
