A woman is dead after a three-car accident in the Fairmount Park section of the city. It happened on Lincoln Drive near Rittenhouse Street. Police say three cars collided. A 24-year-old woman was taken to Einstein Hospital and pronounced dead at 8:43 p.m.
Police also say a 64-year-old man was hurt in the crash and taken to Einstein Hospital where he was treated for head pain. He is currently in stable condition.
Finally, a 50-year-old woman was taken to Einstein Hospital and treated for leg, arm and chest pain. She is currently in stable condition.
Both directions of Lincoln Drive are currently shut down. Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. They have not released the names of the victims.
