1 Dead, 2 Critical in Delaware Car Crash

The Delaware State Police is investigating after one person died in a two-vehicle crash south of Newark.

State Police says the crash happened Sunday at about 1:15 a.m. on Pulaski Highway near Brookmont Drive. State Police says the driver of a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder failed to stop for a red light and struck a 2013 Nissan Altima.

A passenger in the Altima, 22-year-old Alexis A. DeFrancesco of Hartley, was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

State Police says the driver of the Altima, 18-year-old Alec E. Clark of Wilmington, was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Also in critical condition was the Pathfinder's driver, 22-year-old De'ayre Ewing-Wright of Bear.
