1 Dead, 1 Injured in Chester Shootings: Cops

Police are investigating whether the shooting death is related to another shooting that happened several minutes earlier and several blocks away.

One man is dead and another injured after two shootings in Chester.

Police responded to a shooting on the 300 block of Hayes Street Friday around 2:30 a.m. Police say a 23-year-old man was shot in the chest. He was taken to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Only minutes later, police responded to another shooting on the 400 block of Yarnell Street. When they arrived they found another 23-year-old man who was unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are currently investigating whether the two shootings are related. No word yet on any suspects or the identities of the victims.
