1 Dead, 1 Hurt in North Philly Double Shooting

A man is dead and another injured after a double shooting in North Philadelphia.

Police say two men were on the 1700 block of West Cumberland Street around 8 p.m. when an unknown gunman opened fire.

A 30-year-old man was struck twice in the head and once in the back. A 19-year-old man was struck once in the left leg.

The 30-year-old man was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:19 p.m. The 19-year-old victim was also taken to Temple where he is currently in stable condition.

No weapon was recovered and no arrests were made.

The shootings took place after a violent day in Philadelphia as two men were shot by the police in two separate incidents.
