Police say two men were shot to death in a car later found on fire in north Philadelphia.
Investigators say two men were travelling southbound on Palethorpe Street around 7:50 p.m. when an unidentified gunman opened fire.
Both men were struck and the driver lost control, crashing into a parked car. The engine caught fire upon impact.
A police spokeswoman says fire crews were called to the scene shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Fire crews reported two men in the vehicle with gunshot wounds.
Police said a 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was pronounced dead shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday at Einstein Medical Center.
Police said both had gunshot wounds to the head.
