1 Dead, 1 Critical in North Philly Double Shooting

One person was killed while another was critically injured in a double shooting near an elementary school in North Philadelphia late Monday afternoon.

A 25-year-old man and a man in his 20’s were both on the 1200 block of Rush Street at 4:56 p.m. when an unidentified gunman opened fire.

The 25-year-old man was struck several times while the man in his 20’s was struck twice in the head.
The 25-year-old man was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:24 p.m. The man in his 20’s was also taken to Temple and is currently in critical condition.

The shooting occurred near the Clymer George School, an elementary charter school located on 1201 West Rush Street.

No arrests have been made. Police continue to search for suspects.
