Police Release Sketch of Pennypack Park Sexual Assault Suspect

Police released the sketch during a press conference today.

Philadelphia Police released a sketch of a man who they believe sexually and physically assaulted three women between July 2010 and August 2011 in Pennypack Park.

Police first circulated the sketch last summer after connecting him to two reported sexual assaults.

A 24-year-old woman told police she accepted a ride from an unknown man at Torresdale and Longshore Avenue back in August of 2011.

The woman told police the man was operating a newer model white pick-up truck with ladder racks holding a ladder. The man drove her to 8100 Cresco Avenue in Pennypack Park where he allegedly forced her into a wooded area and physically and sexually assaulted her.

The second alleged victim was a 26-year-old woman who reported she was physically assaulted under similar circumstances at 8000 Cresco Avenue in Pennypack Park in July of 2010. The woman’s description of the suspect and vehicle matched that of the first alleged victim.

Now, a new victim has come forward. She tells police she was picked up by the same man on Torresdale Avenue in 2010. She says she was taken to a park where the man beat and raped her. Others in the area have seen him as well.

“You’d see him driving back and forth, back and forth, messing with the girls who are on this street” said Andrew Boegly of Tacony. Boegly and others who live off Torresdale Avenue tell NBC10 they’ve seen the man as recently as a month ago.

The latest victim told police she saw the man after the attack in a dark blue minivan with an Eagles sticker in the back and a child’s car seat inside.
