A massive water main break in Bensalem on Sunday afternoon caused the road to buckle and left homes without water.

The incidents, which occured at the intersection of Bristol Road and Galloway and on Bensalem Boulevard at Portside Drive, left nearly 300 without water.

Water service has since been restored, however, a boil water water advisory remains in effect.

A power outage may have caused a surge of pressure, which broke the mains.

Roads were closed from Byberry Road and Bensalem Boulevard to Gibson Road and the intersection of Bristol and Galloway.
