“Jihad Jane” Confesses: Sources

Terror suspect Colleen R. LaRose confessed to the FBI about her alleged role in a plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist, sources told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Montgomery County woman who called herself "Jihad Jane" and "Fatima LaRose" was due in court Thursday and was expected to plead not guilty.

She's charged with using the internet to recruit jihadist fighters, help terrorists overseas and agreeing to murder cartoonist Lars Vilks for a drawing depicting the Muslim Prophet Mohammad's head on the body of a dog.

Her alleged confession to FBI agents came after her arrest at Philly International Airport in October, according to the paper. She had just flown back from London.

LaRose, 46, lived in Pennsburg, Pa. and did most of her communicating and recruiting online, according to the indictment. But did travel overseas to meet with co-conspirators in the murder plot, according to investigators.
