Residents in Gloucester County had a special visitor Tuesday – from a seal. You know, that large aquatic mammal with flippers typically found living in cold Arctic and Antarctic waters?
It’s true. Officials aren’t sure how the seal ended up on the banks of the Delaware River in Westville, N.J. but authorities from the Marine Mammal Stranded Center were able to rescue him.
Before the seal can be sent back to it’s home in the Atlantic Ocean it will be checked out at the Brigantine Center to see if it needs medical care.
