Police were called to the parking lot of the Darby Borough Library on Sunday night where they found a cat on fire.

Animal Control officer Dave Schlott rescued the kitty, believed to a stray, and took it to an emergency vet.

The animal was pronounced dead at 7 p.m.

After performing a necropsy (an animal autopsy) -- they found four jagged chicken bones in the cats stomach -- authorities concluded that the feline was abused.

Schlott is offering a $100 reward for any information leading to the killer. If you know anything, you're urged to call 911.
