A Pleasantville man was sentenced to 200 months (a little over 16 and a half years) in federal prison Thursday for pimping out two sisters, who were 14 and 16 at the time.

Kevin Mayfield, 28, and sidekick Casson Coward, 25, prowled the streets of Allentown, Pa. where they recruited the teens, took them to the Atlantic City/Pleasantville area and made them work as prostitutes.

Nude pictures of the two girls, taken by Mayfield and Coward, were posted on Craigslist advertising their “services.”

This all went down in 2007.

The case broke when the younger sister was picked up by police for prostitution. State Police saw the ad on craigslist.org and had an undercover cop set up a little meeting with one of the supposed prostitutes.

Not only did the officer find out that a 14-year-old girl and her 16-year-old sister were being pimped out; both girls were on the missing persons list from Allentown.

Both girls ratted out Coward and spilled the beans about his and Mayfield’s scheme. Read more: N.J. Attorney General, June 2008 Press Release

The photos featured in the Craigslist ad were just some of the evidence viewed by the jury during Mayfield’s trial in 2008.

The master plan began when Coward met the minors in Allentown in May 2007. The following month the two pimps met up to discuss the details: they’d go back to Allentown, pick the girls up, take them to Atlantic City, and put’em to work on the streets.

Mayfield was convicted on September 29, 2008 of three counts: conspiracy to transport minors to engage in prostitution, transportation of a minor to engage in prostitution, and advertising and promoting material containing an obscene visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

He was sentenced to federal prison Thursday and, even after his 200 month sentence is up, the judge ordered that Mayfield serve a “supervised release” for the rest of his life.

Also, wherever Mayfield lives, he must follow all sex offender registration laws.

Coward pleaded guilty on November 2, 2007. He was sentenced to 125 months in federal prison and “supervised release” for the rest of his life as well.
