A pizza deliveryman was shot in the face Thursday night while working in North Philadelphia.
Juan Christian, a 41-year-old father of eight, was ambused in the 2000 block of West Boston St. around 10 p.m., investigators said.
"He did nothing to you. He was earning an honest living which is what you should be doing," said Aida Oliveras, the victim's sister.
Police are searching for two men caught on surviellance video running from the scene. One of the suspects was shown carrying a bag of food, the other a shotgun. Police also said the suspects took the victim’s money.
“It's just really outrageous when you see that kind of violence. You shoot him in the face with a shotgun?”, said a police officer.
Christian had only been working at Plaza Pizza on Broad and Cecil B. Moore Streets for only a month before the incident.
Christian was taken to Temple Hospital where he underwent surgery and remained in critical condition Friday night.
