President-elect Barack Obama arrived in Philadelphia Monday evening in preparation for his visit to the National Governors Association’s special economic meeting Tuesday.

Once his plane hit the gate, Obama was quickly ushered into a motorcade to make his way to a private meeting with Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell and 27 other Democratic governors at 7:30 pm in the Independence Visitors Center. There is no word as to what will be discussed, but the economy is sure to be a hot topic.

A dinner for all members of the National Governors Association is scheduled after the private meeting. The president-elect may make his way a few blocks south to the Old City Tavern to wine and dine, according to staffers.

But who knows? He may keep on walking down to Pat’s to grab a cheesesteak.
