The wind, rain and cold of a Nor'Easter is painful enough, without being slapped in the face by it.
Reporter Ted Greenberg had a wet wake up call this morning when a wave crashed over his head on the Jersey Shore.
Wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour along with driving rain from the Nor’Easter has caused not only the wave that attacked Greenberg but coastal flooding, piles of sea foam, and water-filled streets in communities all over the Jersey shore.
The Ocean has been crashing over sea walls in Longport, N.J., and spreading water, foam and sand all over area roads. Police were forced to close the bridge that connects Avalon and Sea Isle City along Ocean Drive. The bridge was still closed Friday morning as the water continues to rise.
Gusty winds, rain and cold temperatures into the mid-40s will be pummeling the entire Delaware Valley for the next few days. There will be occasional rain showers today, with heavier rain Saturday and Sunday.
But the nasty weather should blow over by Monday, when the clouds will break and temperatures will climb into the 50s. It will be in the 70s by Wednesday.
