A manhunt is on for a suspect who allegedly shot a man in the chest after a fight.
The suspect allegedly opened fire on a mini-van as it drove along the 800 block of Stafford Street in the East Mount Airy section of Philadelphia around 10 a.m. Friday, according to police. The passenger was grazed in the chest by one of the bullets. Authorities believe the man and the victim had gotten into an argument moments before the shooting.
The driver of the van rushed his passenger to Germantown Hospital for treatment, police said. The victim was then transferred to Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is expected to be released Friday afternoon.
The suspect fled the scene following the shooting. Authorities believed he locked himself inside a home along the same block, but that proved to be untrue after SWAT Team members searched the house, police said.
Police are now looking for the man as they work to obtain a warrant, sources said.
