Region's 1st Children's ER Opens

Lehigh Valley's first children’s emergency room will officially open on Wednesday

The region's very first emergency room for children in the Lehigh Valley will be opening this week.

The Lehigh Valley Health Network officials unveiled the emergency room at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Monday afternoon.

The children’s emergency room will officially open on Wednesday.

The 12- bed emergency room will provide emergency services to children from birth to age 18.

The facility has an interactive video wall as well as a seven-foot-tall Ferris wheel. The Ferris wheel is made of building blocks from the Toy Magic store in downtown Bethlehem.
