It is time to get on your feet and work to end homelessness in Philadelphia. On Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. NBC10’s very own Lori Wilson will be moderating a free Town Hall forum “A Shared Challenge: Homelessness in Philadelphia."

Lori will be joined by State Senator, Larry Farnese and “Back on My Feet” founder and president Anne Mahlum, as they discuss homelessness and show people what they can do to help run this problem out of our city.

Anne Mahlum has been an advocate for the homeless for years and founded “Back on My Feet” to “promote the self-sufficiency of the homeless population by engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-sufficieny,” according to  BackonMy Feet.org.

The forum will be seeking solutions and getting people invovled. “We also want to show people what they can be doing. Criticizing people, condemning them and getting upset and angry isn’t going to solve the issue. If you really want to make change, we’re going to give some opportunities and some options to really get invovled,” Anne Mahlum said.

The forum will be held at the Independence Visitor’s Center on the Mezzanine Level on 6th and Market Street in Philadelphia. Audience space is limited so if you are interested in attending, register online  or call 215-772-1080.
